We are Go Green.
Go Green Taxis aim to reduce carbon emissions and save you money, whilst providing a first class taxi service. We employ environmentally friendlier alternatives throughout our whole business practice to reduce the impact our business has on the environment.
We have found that cutting down on waste and being more efficient with our resources has saved us money. We believe that if we can save money then those savings should be, and are, passed on to our customers. Going Green has saved us money and it will save you money too.
We do more than just say we are “Green” with a dedicated #GoGreenEcoSquad we dig deep and plant trees with local schools and community projects, use eco-friendly vehicles, use ethical and environmental resources and go the extra mile to ensure we do more!
Go Green Taxis was launched as Didcot’s 1st green taxi service in October 2009 and was founded by Mike Hatter and Mark John. Offering a unique, personal and first-class service with a strong commitment to helping reduce CO2 emissions has proved popular – “The Taxi that doesn’t cost the Earth!”. This ethos has made us the key player we are today.
With multi-skilled office staff and a fleet of highly trained drivers at the forefront of our business, this has truly set us apart from other Taxi and Private Hire firms. This has been noticed and rewarded with multiple awards from industry experts such as The Professional Driver Magazine QSi Awards where we have won Private Hire Company of the Year (1-80 vehicles) for 2015, 2016 and 2017!

Introducing
Craig Leydon is the Finance Manager at Go Green Taxis, having joined the team in 2022. In this role, Craig oversees the day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Craig is dedicated to maintaining the financial integrity of the company, supporting its growth, and helping to achieve its sustainability objectives. Despite the complexities of the role, Craig enjoys the challenge and finds it rewarding to be part of a team that is committed to making a positive environmental impact.
Sophia Phokou is the Head of Finance at Go Green Taxis, where she has been a key part of the team since 2011. In her role, Sophia is responsible for managing the company’s financial health, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Her expertise ensures that Go Green Taxis operates efficiently and remains financially robust while supporting its eco-friendly mission. Sophia takes great pride in her work, particularly in contributing to the company’s sustainability goals. She enjoys the challenges her role presents and finds fulfilment in ensuring the financial stability and growth of the company.
James Cole is the Head of Operations at Go Green Taxis, working with us since 2015. At that time Go Green Taxis had one office location and 21 vehicles.
Working his way through the business and growing personally with the evolving demands of the growing business. Now overseeing the company’s operations, strategic planning, and growth initiatives, ensuring that Go Green Taxis continues to provide top-notch, eco-friendly transportation services. He is deeply passionate about his work, finding immense satisfaction in leading a team that shares his commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction. James enjoys the dynamic nature of his role, particularly the opportunity to innovate and drive the company forward in the green transport sector.
